Applicable Applications for anti-AAV9 antibody
Immunofluorescence microscopy, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Dot Blot (DB) (non-denaturing conditions) and ELISA (EIA)
Application Notes
Antibody is ready to use, without dilution for Immunohistochemistry. For other applications, end-user should determine appropriate titer for their assay conditions.
Biological Significance
Adeno-associated virus (AAV) is a small virus which infects humans and some other primate species. AAV is not currently known to cause disease and consequently the virus causes a very mild immune response. AAV can infect both dividing and non-dividing cells and may incorporate its genome into that of the host cell.
Cross-Reactivity
Specifically reacts with intact adeno-associated virus particles, empty and full capsids. Recognizes a conformational epitope of assembled capsids. Can not be used for immunoblotting. Specific for human AAV-9
Immunogen
Recombinant produced adeno-associated virus type 9 (AAV-9) vector carrying GFP.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4°C.

Product Notes

The AAV9 (Catalog #AAA533228) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's AAV9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunofluorescence microscopy, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Dot Blot (DB) (non-denaturing conditions) and ELISA (EIA). Antibody is ready to use, without dilution for Immunohistochemistry. For other applications, end-user should determine appropriate titer for their assay conditions. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the AAV9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "AAV9, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
