Principle of the Assay: 215 Monkey primate IGFBP7/Igfbp Rp1 ELISA Kit was based on standard sandwich enzyme- linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from mouse specific for Monkey primate IGFBP7/Igfbp Rp1 has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards(Expression system for standard: NSO; Immunogen sequence: D30-L282) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for Monkey primate IGFBP7/Igfbp Rp1 is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB was used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the 215 Monkey primate IGFBP7/Igfbp Rp1 amount of sample captured in plate.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-binding protein (IGFBP) family. IGFBPs bind IGFs with high affinity, and regulate IGF availability in body fluids and tissues and modulate IGF binding to its receptors. This protein binds IGF-I and IGF-II with relatively low affinity, and belongs to a subfamily of low-affinity IGFBPs. It also stimulates prostacyclin production and cell adhesion. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene, and one variant has been associated with retinal arterial macroaneurysm (PMID:21835307).
