Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of CLTC. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between CLTC and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between CLTC and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
Samples
Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Assay Type
Quantitative Competitive
Sensitivity
0.1 ng/mL
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.

Intended Uses: This CLTC ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Monkey CLTC. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or test applications!

Principle of the Assay: CLTC ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-CLTC antibody and an CLTC-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CLTC-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CLTC concentration since CLTC from samples and CLTC-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CLTC antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CLTC from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CLTC-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CLTC concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

Clathrin is a major protein component of the cytoplasmic face of intracellular organelles, called coated vesicles and coated pits. These specialized organelles are involved in the intracellular trafficking of receptors and endocytosis of a variety of macromolecules. The basic subunit of the clathrin coat is composed of three heavy chains and three light chains. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The Monkey CLTC cltc (Catalog #AAA7219381) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7219381 ELISA Kit recognizes Monkey CLTC. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Clathrin heavy chain 1 (CLTC), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
