Related Product Information for LXA4 elisa kit
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Competitive-ELISA as the method. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with LXA4. During the reaction, LXA4 in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of LXA4 on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Antibody specific to LXA4. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate, and HRP-Streptavidin(SABC) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of LXA4 in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD. of the samples to the standard curve.

Uniprot Description

FPR2: Low affinity receptor for N-formyl-methionyl peptides, which are powerful neutrophils chemotactic factors. Binding of FMLP to the receptor causes activation of neutrophils. This response is mediated via a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. The activation of LXA4R could result in an anti-inflammatory outcome counteracting the actions of proinflammatory signals such as LTB4 (leukotriene B4). Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, GPCR; GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, multi-pass

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.3-q13.4

Cellular Component: integral to membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity; N-formyl peptide receptor activity

Biological Process: cell adhesion; cell motility; chemotaxis; G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; inflammatory response

Product Notes

The General LXA4 fpr2 (Catalog #AAA762533) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA762533 ELISA Kit recognizes General LXA4. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Lipoxin A4, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
