Placental Protein 13 Recombinant Protein | PP13 recombinant protein
Recombinant Placental Protein 13 (PP13)
1.Splice variants: Alternative splicing may create different sized proteins from the same gene.
2. Relative charge: The composition of amino acids may affects the charge of the protein.
3. Post-translational modification: Phosphorylation, glycosylation, methylation etc.
4. Post-translation cleavage: Many proteins are synthesized as pro-proteins, and then cleaved to give the active form.
5. Polymerization of the target protein: Dimerization, multimerization etc.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Store at 2-8 degree C for one month.
Aliquot and store at -80 degree C for 12 months.
Stability Test:
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration dateunder appropriate storage condition.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Accurate Molecular Mass: 44kDa as determined by SDS-PAGE reducing conditions.
NCBI Description
Lysophospholipases are enzymes that act on biological membranes to regulate the multifunctional lysophospholipids. The protein encoded by this gene has lysophospholipase activity. It is composed of two identical subunits which are held together by disulfide bonds. This protein has structural similarity to several members of the beta-galactoside-binding S-type lectin family. Uniprot Description
LGALS13: Has lysophospholipase activity.
Protein type: Phospholipase; EC 3.1.1.5
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.1
Molecular Function: protein binding; carbohydrate binding; lysophospholipase activity
Biological Process: apoptosis; phospholipid metabolic process

The PP13 lgals13 (Catalog #AAA2030465) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E.coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Placental Protein 13 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Positive Control; Immunogen; SDS-PAGE; Western Blot (WB). (May be suitable for use in other assays to be determined by the end user.). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PP13 lgals13 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MSSLPVPYKL PVSLSVGSCV IIKGTPIHSF INDPQLQVDF YTDMDEDSDI AFRFRVHFGN HVVMNRREFG IWMLEETTDY VPFEDGKQFE LCIYVHYNEY EIKVNGIRIY GFVHRIPPSF VKMVQVSRDI SLTSVCVCN. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Placental Protein 13, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
