Related Product Information for KLRC2 recombinant protein
Background: NKG2-C type II integral membrane protein, also known as KLRC2, plays a role as a receptor for the recognition of MHC class I HLA-E molecules by NK cells and some cytotoxic T-cells. The group, designated KLRC (NKG2) are expressed primarily in natural killer (NK) cells and encodes a family of transmembrane proteins characterized by a type II membrane orientation (extracellular C terminus) and the presence of a C-type lectin domain. The KLRC (NKG2) gene family is located within the NK complex, a region that contains several C-type lectin genes preferentially expressed on NK cells. KLRC2 alternative splice variants have been described but their full-length nature has not been determined. Recombinant human KLRC2 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli.

NCBI Description

Natural killer (NK) cells are lymphocytes that can mediate lysis of certain tumor cells and virus-infected cells without previous activation. They can also regulate specific humoral and cell-mediated immunity. NK cells preferentially express several calcium-dependent (C-type) lectins, which have been implicated in the regulation of NK cell function. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The KLRC2 klrc2 (Catalog #AAA844167) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's KLRC2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KLRC2 klrc2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MGSM IPFLEQ NNFSPNTRTQ KARHCGHCPE EWITYSNSCY YIGKERRTWE ESLLACTSKN SSLLSIDNEE EMKFLASILP SSWIGVFRNS SHHPWVTING LAFKHKIKDS DNAELNCAVL QVNRLKSAQC GSSMIYHCKH KL. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KLRC2, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
