Related Product Information for RIPK3 active protein
RIPK3 is a member of the receptor-interacting protein (RIP) family of serine/threonine protein kinases, which contains a C-terminal domain unique from other RIP family members. RIPK3 is predominantly localized to the cytoplasm, and specifically, are colocalized in the mitochondrion which can undergo nucleocytoplasmic shuttling dependent on novel nuclear localization and export signals. RIPK3 is a component of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor-I signaling complex, and can induce apoptosis and weakly activate the NF-kappaB transcription factor and caspase-8 prevents RIPK3-dependent necrosis without inducing apoptosis by functioning in a proteolytically active complex with CFLAR and that this complex is required for the protective function.

NCBI Description

The product of this gene is a member of the receptor-interacting protein (RIP) family of serine/threonine protein kinases, and contains a C-terminal domain unique from other RIP family members. The encoded protein is predominantly localized to the cytoplasm, and can undergo nucleocytoplasmic shuttling dependent on novel nuclear localization and export signals. It is a component of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor-I signaling complex, and can induce apoptosis and weakly activate the NF-kappaB transcription factor. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The RIPK3 ripk3 (Catalog #AAA4160339) is an Active Protein produced from Insect Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RIPK3, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
