In Vitro
Rac1 is thought to play a significant role in the development of various cancers, including melanoma (1) and non-small cell lung cancer(2). Rac1 is a small (~21 kDa) signaling G protein (more specifically a GTPase) and is a member of the Rac subfamily of the family Rho family of GTPases. Members of this superfamily appear to regulate a diverse array of cellular events, including the control of cell growth, cytoskeletal reorganization, and the activation of protein kinases Rac1 is a pleiotropic regulator of many cellular processes, including the cell cycle, cell-cell adhesion, motility (through the actin network), and of epithelial differentiation [1][2][3].
Preparation and Storage
Store at -20 degree C for 3 years powder
-80 degree C for 2 years in solvent

Product Notes

The GTPase (Catalog #AAA5764243) is an Inhibitor and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Rac GTPase fragment, Inhibitor" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
