Related Product Information for IMPAD1/IMP3 recombinant protein
Protein Construction: Recombinant Mouse IMPAD1 is produced by our mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Glu51-His356 is expressed with a 6His tag at the N-terminus.

Background: IMPAD1 protein (IMPA3, gPAPP or IMPase 3) belongs to the inositol monophosphatase family. It is found in Purkinje cells, brain stem, lung and chondrocytes. Mouse IMPAD1 gene encodes a type II transmembrane Golgi-embedded glycoprotein with 356 amino acid residues which generates a 306 amino acid residues mature protein after processing. It is expressed in embryo, and in theory may catalyze myo-inositol monophosphate to myo-inositol. Free myo-inositol is used to generate inositol phospholipid, an essential component of intracellular signaling pathways that mobilize calcium. Mouse IMPAD1 exhibits 91% sequence identity with the human homologue.

Uniprot Description

IMPAD1: May play a role in the formation of skeletal elements derived through endochondral ossification, possibly by clearing adenosine 3',5'-bisphosphate produced by Golgi sulfotransferases during glycosaminoglycan sulfation. Defects in IMPAD1 are the cause of chondrodysplasia with joint dislocations GPAPP type (CDP-GPAPP). A condition consisting of congenital joint dislocations, chondrodysplasia with short stature, micrognathia and cleft palate, and a distinctive face. Belongs to the inositol monophosphatase family.

Protein type: Cell development/differentiation; EC 3.1.3.25; EC 3.1.3.7; Membrane protein, integral; Phosphatase (non-protein)

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 4|4 A1

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; Golgi apparatus; membrane

Molecular Function: 3'-nucleotidase activity; magnesium ion binding

Biological Process: chondrocyte development; chondroitin sulfate metabolic process; embryonic digit morphogenesis; endochondral ossification; post-embryonic development; skeletal development

Product Notes

The IMPAD1/IMP3 impad1 (Catalog #AAA2557491) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Human Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Glu51-His3 56. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IMPAD1/IMP3, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
