Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH7.4.
Sequence
Met1-Phe131
Endotoxin
< 1 EU per ug of the protein as determined by the LAL method.
Protein Construction
Amino acid sequence derived from mouse IL13 protein (P20109, Met1-Phe131) was expressed with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
Protein Length
The recombinant mouse IL-13 protein consists of 118 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 12.7 kD.The apparent molecular mass of the mouse IL13 is approximately 15-30kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions due to glycosylation.
Usage Notes
Always centrifuge tubes before opening. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized mouse IL-13 protein in the buffer which we provide not less than 100ug/mL, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized mouse IL13 protein product should be stored desiccated below -18 degree C. Upon reconstitution, the protein should be stored at 4 degree C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18 degree C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Related Product Information for IL-13 recombinant protein
Description: Recombinant Human IL-13 protein expressed in HEK293 Cells.
Background: Interleukin(IL)-13, a cytokine produced by T helper 2 (Th2) cells, is a powerful inhibitor of macrophage functions, including surface expression of CD14 and production of IL-1 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha. Interleukin (IL) -13 synergizes with IL2 in regulating interferon-gamma synthesis. It may be critical in regulating inflammatory and immune responses.Mouse IL13 shares 58% sequence identity with human protein and exhibits cross-species activity.IL-13 was first recognized for its effects on B cells and monocytes, where it upregulated class II expression, promoted IgE class switching and inhibited inflammatory cytokine production. It was also thought to be functionally redundant with IL-4.

Uniprot Description

IL13: Cytokine. Inhibits inflammatory cytokine production. Synergizes with IL2 in regulating interferon-gamma synthesis. May be critical in regulating inflammatory and immune responses. Defects in IL13 may be a cause of susceptibility to allergic rhinitis (ALRH). Allergic rhinitis is a common disease of complex inheritance and is characterized by mucosal inflammation caused by allergen exposure. Belongs to the IL-4/IL-13 family.

Product Notes

The IL-13 il13 (Catalog #AAA9719009) is a Recombinant Protein produced from HEK 293 Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Met1-Phe13 1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL-13, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
