Related Product Information for IFNAR1 recombinant protein
IFN-alpha/beta R1, also known as interferon alpha/beta receptor 1 (IFNAR1), is a member of the class II cytokine receptor family of proteins that form heterodimeric receptor complexes. These receptors are shared and served multiple functions. IFNAR1 and IFNBR1, in association with IFNAR2 and IFNBR2, is required for propagating anti-microbial signal transduction triggered by the type 1 interferons such as IFN-alpha and IFN-beta. Also, binding and activation of it stimulates Janus protein kinases, which in turn phosphorylate several proteins, including STAT1 and STAT2. Recombinant Human IFN-alpha/beta R1, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a type I membrane protein that forms one of the two chains of a receptor for interferons alpha and beta. Binding and activation of the receptor stimulates Janus protein kinases, which in turn phosphorylate several proteins, including STAT1 and STAT2. The encoded protein also functions as an antiviral factor. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

IFNAR1: receptor for interferons alpha and beta. Belongs to the type II cytokine family of receptors. Binding to type I IFNs triggers tyrosine phosphorylation of a number of proteins including JAKs, TYK2, STAT proteins and IFNR alpha- and beta-subunits themselves. Tyk2 tyrosine kinase is essential for stable cell surface expression of IFNAR1. Present in all tissues and even on the surface of most IFN-resistant cells.

Product Notes

The IFNAR1 ifnar1 (Catalog #AAA201159) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Baculovirus and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 28-436aa. AAA Biotech's IFN-alpha/beta R1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IFNAR1 ifnar1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: KNLKSPQKVE VDIIDDNFIL RWNRSDESVG NVTFSFDYQK TGMDNWIKLS GCQNITSTKC NFSSLKLNVY EEIKLRIRAE KENTSSWYEV DSFTPFRKAQ IGPPEVHLEA EDKAIVIHIS PGTKDSVMWA LDGLSFTYSL VIWKNSSGVE ERIENIYSRH KIYKLSPETT YCLKVKAALL TSWKIGVYSP VHCIKTTVEN ELPPPENIEV SVQNQNYVLK WDYTYANMTF QVQWLHAFLK RNPGNHLYKW KQIPDCENVK TTQCVFPQNV FQKGIYLLRV QASDGNNTSF WSEEIKFDTE IQAFLLPPVF NIRSLSDSFH IYIGAPKQSG NTPVIQDYPL IYEIIFWENT SNAERKIIEK KTDVTVPNLK PLTVYCVKAR AHTMDEKLNK SSVFSDAVCE KTKPGNTSK H HHHHH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IFN-alpha/beta R1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
