Uniprot Description

Transcriptional regulator that binds to the upstream enhancer region (CCAC box) of myoglobin gene (). Important regulatory factor of the myogenic progenitor cell population (). Involved in the cell cycle process, promotes proliferation by repressing Foxo4 transcriptional activity and the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor, p21CIP, in the myogenic progenitor cells (). Represses myogenic differentiation by inhibiting MEFC acitivity (). Has a role in remodeling processes of adult muscles that occur in response to physiological stimuli (). Required to correct temporal orchestration of molecular and cellular events necessary for muscle repair (). Positively regulates Wnt/beta-catenin signaling by translocating DVL into the nucleus (PubMed:25805136). Reduces virus replication, probably by binding the interferon stimulated response element (ISRE) to promote antiviral gene expression (PubMed:25852164).

Product Notes

The FOXK1 foxk1 (Catalog #AAA8513969) is an Antibody and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FOXK1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's FOXK1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FOXK1 foxk1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FOXK1, Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
