The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to V-Set Domain Containing T-Cell Activation Inhibitor 1 (VTCN1). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to V-Set Domain Containing T-Cell Activation Inhibitor 1 (VTCN1). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Proteins in this family are present on the surface of antigen-presenting cells and interact with ligand bound to receptors on the surface of T cells. Studies have shown that high levels of the encoded protein has been correlated with tumor progression. A pseudogene of this gene is located on chromosome 20.
