Human Trace Amine-Associated Receptor 5 (TAAR5) ELISA Kit | TAAR5 elisa kit
Human Trace Amine-Associated Receptor 5 (TAAR5) ELISA Kit
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Background: Trace amine-associated receptor 5 (TAAR5) is a olfactory receptor specific for trimethylamine, a trace amine. Also activated at lower level by dimethylethylamine. Trimethylamine is a bacterial metabolite found in some animal odors, and to humans it is a repulsive odor associated with bad breath and spoiled food. This receptor is probably mediated by the G(s)-class of G-proteins which activate adenylate cyclase.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
TAAR5: Orphan receptor. Ligands are likely small molecules, either sharing some similarities with trace amine as, e.g. derivatives of indolamines (such as 5-methoxytryptamine) or of phenylethylamines (such as phenylethanolamine) or being any kind of metabolite of amino acids or biogenic amine neurotransmitters. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.
Protein type: Receptor, GPCR; Membrane protein, integral; Membrane protein, multi-pass; GPCR, family 1
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 6q23
Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane; integral to membrane
Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity
Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; synaptic transmission; sensory perception of chemical stimulus; signal transduction

Product Notes
The Human TAAR5 taar5 (Catalog #AAA9714121) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9714121 ELISA Kit recognizes Human TAAR5. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Trace Amine-Associated Receptor 5 (TAAR5), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
