Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for SYTL5 elisa kit
Description: This Human Synaptotagmin-like protein 5 (SYTL5) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate SYTL5 in samples. An antibody specific for SYTL5 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any SYTL5 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for SYTL5 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of SYTL5 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: Synaptotagmin-like protein 5 (SYTL5) belongs to the synaptotagmin-like (Slp) protein family, which contains a unique homology domain at the N-terminus, referred to as the Slp homology domain (SHD). The SHD functions as a binding site for Rab27A, which plays a role in protein transport. Expression of SYTL5 is restricted to placenta and liver, suggesting that it might be involved in Rab27A-dependent membrane trafficking in specific tissues. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for SYTL5.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the synaptotagmin-like (Slp) protein family, which contains a unique homology domain at the N-terminus, referred to as the Slp homology domain (SHD). The SHD functions as a binding site for Rab27A, which plays a role in protein transport. Product Notes

The Human SYTL5 sytl5 (Catalog #AAA9714111) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9714111 ELISA Kit recognizes Human SYTL5. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Synaptotagmin-Like Protein 5 (SYTL5), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
