Human Surfeit 4 (SURF4) ELISA Kit
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene is located in the surfeit gene cluster, which is comprised of very tightly linked housekeeping genes that do not share sequence similarity. The encoded protein is a conserved integral membrane protein containing multiple putative transmembrane regions. In eukaryotic cells, protein transport between the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi compartments is mediated in part by non-clathrin-coated vesicular coat proteins (COPs). The specific function of this protein has not been determined but its yeast homolog is directly required for packaging glycosylated pro-alpha-factor into COPII vesicles. This gene uses multiple polyadenylation sites, resulting in transcript length variation. The existence of alternatively spliced transcript variants has been suggested, but their validity has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes
The Human SURF4 surf4 (Catalog #AAA9301692) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9301692 ELISA Kit recognizes Human SURF4. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Surfeit 4 (SURF4), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
