Human Stress Induced Phosphoprotein 1 (STIP1) ELISA Kit | STIP1 elisa kit
Human Stress Induced Phosphoprotein 1 (STIP1) ELISA Kit
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.
Principle of the Assay: The microplate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to STIP1. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microplate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to STIP1. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain STIP1, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of STIP1 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
STIP1 is an adaptor protein that coordinates the functions of HSP70 (see HSPA1A; MIM 140550) and HSP90 (see HSP90AA1; MIM 140571) in protein folding. It is thought to assist in the transfer of proteins from HSP70 to HSP90 by binding both HSP90 and substrate-bound HSP70. STIP1 also stimulates the ATPase activity of HSP70 and inhibits the ATPase activity of HSP90, suggesting that it regulates both the conformations and ATPase cycles of these chaperones (Song and Masison, 2005 [PubMed 16100115]).[supplied by OMIM, Jul 2009]
Uniprot Description
STI1: a protein that is apparently involved in the response to stress. Specifically interacts with the C-terminal tails of Hsp70 and Hsp90 via TPR1 and TPR2A domains. Deletion of STI1 reduces the activity of the glucocorticoid receptor, a Hsp90 target protein. Phosphorylated in vitro by p90RSK and casein kinase II.

Product Notes
The Human STIP1 stip1 (Catalog #AAA2020835) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2020835 ELISA Kit recognizes Human STIP1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Stress Induced Phosphoprotein 1 (STIP1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
