Intended Use: The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm using a spectrophotometer. In order to measure the concentration of1PR2in the sample, This 1PR2ELISA Kit includes a set of calibration standards. The calibration standards are assayed at the same time as the samples and allow the operator to produce a standard curve of Optical Density versus1PR2concentration. The concentration of1PR2in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the G protein-coupled receptors, as well as the EDG family of proteins. The encoded protein is a receptor for sphingosine 1-phosphate, which participates in cell proliferation, survival, and transcriptional activation. Defects in this gene have been associated with congenital profound deafness. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2016]

Uniprot Description

EDG5: Receptor for the lysosphingolipid sphingosine 1- phosphate (S1P). S1P is a bioactive lysophospholipid that elicits diverse physiological effect on most types of cells and tissues. When expressed in rat HTC4 hepatoma cells, is capable of mediating S1P-induced cell proliferation and suppression of apoptosis. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Protein type: Receptor, GPCR; Lipid-binding; GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Membrane protein, integral; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19p13.2

Cellular Component: integral to membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: integrin binding; G-protein coupled receptor activity; G-protein-coupled receptor binding; lipid binding

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; activation of MAPK activity; positive regulation of cell proliferation

Product Notes

The Human S1PR2 s1pr2 (Catalog #AAA3804667) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA3804667 ELISA Kit recognizes Human S1PR2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Sphingosine 1 Phosphate Receptor 2 (S1PR2), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
