Human secreted frizzled-related protein 5 (SFRP5) ELISA Kit | SFRP5 elisa kit
Human secreted frizzled-related protein 5 (SFRP5) ELISA Kit
Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with human SFRP5 antibody. SFRP5 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated human SFRP5 Antibody is added and binds to SFRP5 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated SFRP5 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of human SFRP5. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Secreted frizzled-related protein 5 (SFRP5) is a member of the SFRP family that contains a cysteine-rich domain homologous to the putative Wnt-binding site of Frizzled proteins. SFRPs act as soluble modulators of Wnt signaling. SFRP5 and SFRP1 may be involved in determining the polarity of photoreceptor cells in the retina. SFRP5 is highly expressed in the retinal pigment epithelium, and moderately expressed in the pancreas. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
Soluble frizzled-related proteins (sFRPS) function as modulators of Wnt signaling through direct interaction with Wnts. They have a role in regulating cell growth and differentiation in specific cell types. SFRP5 may be involved in determining the polarity of photoreceptor, and perhaps, other cells in the retina.

Product Notes
The Human SFRP5 sfrp5 (Catalog #AAA164067) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA164067 ELISA Kit recognizes Human SFRP5. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "secreted frizzled-related protein 5 (SFRP5), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
