Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human PAR1. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and bound by the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human PAR1 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human PAR1, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human PAR1. You can calculate the concentration of Human PAR1 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Coagulation factor II receptor is a 7-transmembrane receptor involved in the regulation of thrombotic response. Proteolytic cleavage leads to the activation of the receptor. F2R is a G-protein coupled receptor family member. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
PAR1: a G-protein coupled high-affinity receptor for activated thrombin or trypsin. Coupled to G proteins that stimulate phosphoinositide hydrolysis. Coupled to G proteins that stimulate phosphoinositide hydrolysis. May play a role in platelet activation and in vascular development.

Product Notes
The Human PAR1 f2r (Catalog #AAA2508954) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2508954 ELISA Kit recognizes Human PAR1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PAR1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
