Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for NKAP elisa kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to NFKB Activating Protein (NKAP). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to NFKB Activating Protein (NKAP). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain NFKB Activating Protein (NKAP), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of NFKB Activating Protein (NKAP) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a protein that is involved in the activation of the ubiquitous transcription factor NF-kappaB. This protein is associated with the the histone deacetylase HDAC3 and with the Notch corepressor complex, and it thereby acts as a transcriptional repressor of Notch target genes. It is also required for alphabeta T cell development. A related pseudogene has been identified on chromosome X, while a related and intronless retrocopy, which has an intact CDS and may be functional, is located on chromosome 6. [provided by RefSeq, May 2010]

Uniprot Description

NKAP: Acts as a transcriptional repressor. Plays a role as a transcriptional corepressor of the Notch-mediated signaling required for T-cell development. Also involved in the TNF and IL-1 induced NF-kappa-B activation. Associates with chromatin at the Notch-regulated SKP2 promoter. Belongs to the UPF0396 family.

Protein type: Unknown function

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xq24

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; cytoplasm

Molecular Function: protein binding; chromatin DNA binding; chromatin binding

Biological Process: Notch signaling pathway; transcription, DNA-dependent; granulocyte differentiation; stem cell maintenance; T cell differentiation in the thymus; negative regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; negative regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; positive regulation of alpha-beta T cell differentiation

Product Notes

The Human NKAP nkap (Catalog #AAA2025602) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2025602 ELISA Kit recognizes Human NKAP. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NFKB Activating Protein (NKAP), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
