Principle of the assay: N1-N12 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-N1-N12 antibody and an N1-N12-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with N1-N12-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the N1-N12 concentration since N1-N12 from samples and N1-N12-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-N1-N12 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by N1-N12 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind N1-N12-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The N1-N12 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

Uniprot Description

NFKBID: May regulate the expression of IL-2, IL-6, and other cytokines through regulation on NF-kappa-B activity. Functions in the regulation of inflammatory responses. May also regulate TCR- induced negative selection of thymocytes. Belongs to the NF-kappa-B inhibitor family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.12

Cellular Component: nucleus

Molecular Function: NF-kappaB binding

Biological Process: inhibition of NF-kappaB transcription factor; negative regulation of T cell differentiation in the thymus; negative regulation of I-kappaB kinase/NF-kappaB cascade; inflammatory response

Product Notes

The Human NFKBID nfkbid (Catalog #AAA756385) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA756385 ELISA Kit recognizes Human NFKBID. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NF-kappa-B inhibitor delta (NFKBID), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
