Human Neurogenic locus notch homolog protein 2, NOTCH2 ELISA Kit | NOTCH2 elisa kit
Human Neurogenic locus notch homolog protein 2, NOTCH2 ELISA Kit
Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with human NOTCH2 antibody. NOTCH2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated human NOTCH2 Antibody is added and binds to NOTCH2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated NOTCH2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of human NOTCH2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
transmembrane protein that may be involved in cellular interactions that specify cell fate [RGD, Feb 2006]
Uniprot Description
Functions as a receptor for membrane-bound ligands Jagged-1 (JAG1), Jagged-2 (JAG2) and Delta-1 (DLL1) to regulate cell-fate determination. Upon ligand activation through the released notch intracellular domain (NICD) it forms a transcriptional activator complex with RBPJ/RBPSUH and activates genes of the enhancer of split locus. Affects the implementation of differentiation, proliferation and apoptotic programs (). Involved in bone remodeling and homeostasis. In collaboration with RELA/p65 enhances NFATc1 promoter activity and positively regulates RANKL-induced osteoclast differentiation. Positively regulates self-renewal of liver cancer cells ().

Product Notes
The Human NOTCH2 notch2 (Catalog #AAA166618) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA166618 ELISA Kit recognizes Human NOTCH2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Neurogenic locus notch homolog protein 2, NOTCH2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
