Related Product Information for MMP-10 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Human MMP-10 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human MMP-10. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human MMP-10 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human MMP-10, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human MMP-10. You can calculate the concentration of Human MMP-10 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the matrix metalloproteinase family. Proteins in this family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix for both normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, and disease processes, such as asthma and tumor metastasis. The encoded protein may play an important role in embryogenesis, particularly in neuronal cells, as well as in lymphocyte development and survival. [provided by RefSeq, May 2013]

Uniprot Description

MMP21: May have an important and specific function in tumor progression and embryogenesis. Cleaves alpha-1-antitrypsin. Belongs to the peptidase M10A family.

Product Notes

The Human MMP-10 mmp21 (Catalog #AAA2514092) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2514092 ELISA Kit recognizes Human MMP-10. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MMP-10, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
