Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for MAP1LC3B2 elisa kit
Description: This Human Microtubule-associated proteins 1A/1B light chain 3 beta 2 (MAP1LC3B2) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate MAP1LC3B2 in samples. An antibody specific for MAP1LC3B2 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any MAP1LC3B2 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for MAP1LC3B2 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of MAP1LC3B2 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: MAP1LC3b2 Belongs to the MAP1 LC3 family.MAP1LC3b is a subunit of neuronal microtubule-associated MAP1A and MAP1B proteins, which are involved in microtubule assembly and important for neurogenesis. Studies on the rat homolog implicate a role for this gene in autophagy, a process that involves the bulk degradation of cytoplasmic component. The deduced 125-amino acid protein shares 94% identity with rat Map1lc3. Northern blot analysis detected transcripts of 2.5 and 1.0 kb abundantly expressed in heart, brain, skeletal muscle, and testis, with weaker expression in all other tissues examined. MAP1LC3B was posttranslationally modified. Unlike MAP1LC3A and MAP1LC3C, however, MAP1LC3B did not undergo C-terminal cleavage and did not require the conserved gly120 for posttranslational modification.

Product Notes

The Human MAP1LC3B2 map1lc3b2 (Catalog #AAA9715405) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9715405 ELISA Kit recognizes Human MAP1LC3B2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Microtubule-Associated Proteins 1A/1B Light Chain 3 beta 2 (MAP1LC3B2), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
