Related Product Information for AOC3 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of Human Membrane Primary Amine Oxidase (also known as AOC3) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.

Principle of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Human AOC3 antibody. AOC3 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human AOC3 Antibody is added and binds to AOC3 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated AOC3 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human AOC3. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the semicarbazide-sensitive amine oxidase family. Copper amine oxidases catalyze the oxidative conversion of amines to aldehydes in the presence of copper and quinone cofactor. The encoded protein is localized to the cell surface, has adhesive properties as well as monoamine oxidase activity, and may be involved in leukocyte trafficking. Alterations in levels of the encoded protein may be associated with many diseases, including diabetes mellitus. A pseudogene of this gene has been described and is located approximately 9-kb downstream on the same chromosome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Uniprot Description

AOC3: Cell adhesion protein that participates in lymphocyte recirculation by mediating the binding of lymphocytes to peripheral lymph node vascular endothelial cells in an L-selectin- independent fashion. Has a monoamine oxidase activity. May play a role in adipogenesis. Belongs to the copper/topaquinone oxidase family.

Product Notes

The Human AOC3 aoc3 (Catalog #AAA1607734) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA1607734 ELISA Kit recognizes Human AOC3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Membrane primary amine oxidase, AOC3, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
