Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of FCGR2A. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between FCGR2A and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between FCGR2A and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.

Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Assay Type
Quantitative Competitive
Sensitivity
1.0 pg/mL
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.

Intended Uses: This FCGR2A ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Human FCGR2A. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or test applications!

Principle of the Assay: FCGR2A ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing an anti-FCGR2A antibody and an FCGR2A-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with FCGR2A-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the FCGR2A concentration since FCGR2A from samples and FCGR2A-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-FCGR2A antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by FCGR2A from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind FCGR2A-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The FCGR2A concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes one member of a family of immunoglobulin Fc receptor genes found on the surface of many immune response cells. The protein encoded by this gene is a cell surface receptor found on phagocytic cells such as macrophages and neutrophils, and is involved in the process of phagocytosis and clearing of immune complexes. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2008]

Uniprot Description

FCGR2A: low affinity receptor for the Fc region of IgGs. Binding to IgG initiates cellular responses against pathogens and soluble antigens. A type I membrane protein found on monocytes, neutrophils and platelets. SHP-1 associates with this protein to modulate signaling events in myeloid cells.

Product Notes

The Human FCGR2A fcgr2a (Catalog #AAA7236380) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7236380 ELISA Kit recognizes Human FCGR2A. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Low affinity immunoglobulin gamma Fc region receptor II a (FCGR2A), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
