Human latent transforming growth factor beta binding protein 2, LTBP2 ELISA Kit | LTBP2 elisa kit
Human latent transforming growth factor beta binding protein 2, LTBP2 ELISA Kit
Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with human LTBP2 antibody. LTBP2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated human LTBP2 Antibody is added and binds to LTBP2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated LTBP2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of human LTBP2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the family of latent transforming growth factor (TGF)-beta binding proteins (LTBP), which are extracellular matrix proteins with multi-domain structure. This protein is the largest member of the LTBP family possessing unique regions and with most similarity to the fibrillins. It has thus been suggested that it may have multiple functions: as a member of the TGF-beta latent complex, as a structural component of microfibrils, and a role in cell adhesion. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
May play an integral structural role in elastic-fiber architectural organization and/or assembly.CautionPubMed:7798248 reported that a complex is formed with TGFB1. PubMed:10930463 has shown that there is no association with TGFB1.

Product Notes
The Human LTBP2 ltbp2 (Catalog #AAA164879) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA164879 ELISA Kit recognizes Human LTBP2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "latent transforming growth factor beta binding protein 2, LTBP2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
