Human Interferon alpha/betaReceptor, IFN-alpha/betaR ELISA Kit
Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with human IFN-AR antibody. IFN-AR present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated human IFN-AR Antibody is added and binds to IFN-AR in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated IFN-AR antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of human IFN-AR. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
Component of the receptor for type I interferons, including interferons alpha, IFNB1 and IFNW1 (PubMed:1533935, PubMed:14532120, PubMed:23872679). Functions in general as heterodimer with IFNAR2 (). Type I interferon binding activates the JAK-STAT signaling cascade, and triggers tyrosine phosphorylation of a number of proteins including JAKs, TYK2, STAT proteins and the IFNR alpha- and beta-subunits themselves (PubMed:14532120). Can form an active IFNB1 receptor by itself and activate a signaling cascade that does not involve activation of the JAK-STAT pathway (PubMed:23872679). Contributes to modulate the innate immune response to bacterial lipopolysaccharide (PubMed:23872679).

Product Notes
The Human IFN-alpha/betaR ifnar1 (Catalog #AAA163523) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA163523 ELISA Kit recognizes Human IFN-alpha/betaR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Interferon alpha/betaReceptor, IFN-alpha/betaR, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
