Human IGF1R ELISA Kit | IGF1R elisa kit
Human IGF1R (Insulin Like Growth Factor 1 Receptor) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been precoated with an antibody specific to Human IGF1R. Standards or samples are added to appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibodies specific for Human IGF1R and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. After incubation, free components are washed away. Then the Substrate Reagent is added to each well, only those wells that contain Human IGF1R, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin- HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction will be terminated by adding Stop Solution and appears yellow in color. The optical density (OD) can be measured with spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human IGF1R. The concentration of Human IGF1R in samples can be calculated by comparing the OD of the samples with the standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This receptor binds insulin-like growth factor with a high affinity. It has tyrosine kinase activity. The insulin-like growth factor I receptor plays a critical role in transformation events. Cleavage of the precursor generates alpha and beta subunits. It is highly overexpressed in most malignant tissues where it functions as an anti-apoptotic agent by enhancing cell survival. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, May 2014]
Uniprot Description
IGF1R: a receptor tyrosine kinase that binds insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1) with a high affinity and IGF2 with a lower affinity. Functions as an anti-apoptotic agent by enhancing cell survival. Can play a critical role in transformation events. Cleavage of the precursor generates alpha and beta subunits. Tetramer of 2 alpha and 2 beta chains linked by disulfide bonds. The alpha chains contribute to the formation of the ligand- binding domain, while the beta chain carries the kinase domain. Interacts with PIK3R1 and with the PTB/PID domains of IRS1 and SHC1 in vitro when autophosphorylated on tyrosine residues. Mutated in rare cases of pre- and post-natal growth retardation. One SNP associated with increased human longevity. Increased expression of IGF1R and other pathway members associated with progression and malignancy in a range of cancers. Inhibitors: AG1024, AEW541.

Product Notes
The Human IGF1R igf1r (Catalog #AAA2515540) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2515540 ELISA Kit recognizes Human IGF1R. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IGF1R, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
