Intended Uses: The Human High mobility group protein B1 (HMGB1) ELISA has been designed for the detection of HMGB1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. For research use only,

Principle of the Assay: This kit is based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Capture antibody is pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated antibody is used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody are added to the wells subsequently, and washed with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates are used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the target amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of target can be calculated.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the High Mobility Group-box superfamily. The encoded non-histone, nuclear DNA-binding protein regulates transcription, and is involved in organization of DNA. This protein plays a role in several cellular processes, including inflammation, cell differentiation and tumor cell migration. Multiple pseudogenes of this gene have been identified. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants that encode the same protein. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2015]

Product Notes

The Human HMGB1 (Catalog #AAA495584) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA495584 ELISA Kit recognizes Human HMGB1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "High Mobility Group Protein B1 (HMGB1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
