Related Product Information for KRAS elisa kit
Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of human Growth-regulated Oncogenea/Melanoma Growth Stimulating Activity (also known as GROA/MGSA) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.

Principle of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with human GROA/MGSA antibody. GROA/MGSA present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated human GROA/MGSA Antibody is added and binds to GROA/MGSA in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated GROA/MGSA antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of human GROA/MGSA. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

NCBI Description

This gene, a Kirsten ras oncogene homolog from the mammalian ras gene family, encodes a protein that is a member of the small GTPase superfamily. A single amino acid substitution is responsible for an activating mutation. The transforming protein that results is implicated in various malignancies, including lung adenocarcinoma, mucinous adenoma, ductal carcinoma of the pancreas and colorectal carcinoma. Alternative splicing leads to variants encoding two isoforms that differ in the C-terminal region. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

KRas: Ras proteins bind GDP/GTP and possess intrinsic GTPase activity. Interacts with PHLPP. Interacts (active GTP-bound form preferentially) with RGS14. Alternate between an inactive form bound to GDP and an active form bound to GTP. Activated by a guanine nucleotide-exchange factor (GEF) and inactivated by a GTPase- activating protein (GAP). Belongs to the small GTPase superfamily. Ras family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Human KRAS kras (Catalog #AAA1603569) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA1603569 ELISA Kit recognizes Human KRAS. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GTPase KRas, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
