Related Product Information for GMCSF elisa kit
This immunoassay kit allows for the in vitro quantitative determination of Human GMCSF concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.
This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti- Human GMCSF antibody was pre-coated into 96-well plates. Biotin conjugated anti-human GMCSF detection antibody was used. Standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently. Wash buffer was used to wash any non-specific binding. HRP conjugated Streptavidin was used as secondary antibody. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Human GMCSF amount of samples captured in the plate. Optical Density (O.D) can be read at absorbance 450 nm in a microplate reader. Concentration of Human GMCSF can be calculated using the standard curve.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that controls the production, differentiation, and function of granulocytes and macrophages. The active form of the protein is found extracellularly as a homodimer. This gene has been localized to a cluster of related genes at chromosome region 5q31, which is known to be associated with interstitial deletions in the 5q- syndrome and acute myelogenous leukemia. Other genes in the cluster include those encoding interleukins 4, 5, and 13. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Cytokine that stimulates the growth and differentiation of hematopoietic precursor cells from various lineages, including granulocytes, macrophages, eosinophils and erythrocytes.

Product Notes

The Human GMCSF csf2 (Catalog #AAA669151) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA669151 ELISA Kit recognizes Human GMCSF. AAA Biotech's GMCSF (Granulocyte Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GMCSF csf2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GMCSF (Granulocyte Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
