Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for FOXP1 elisa kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Forkhead Box Protein P1 (FOXP1). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Forkhead Box Protein P1 (FOXP1). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Forkhead Box Protein P1 (FOXP1), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Forkhead Box Protein P1 (FOXP1) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene belongs to subfamily P of the forkhead box (FOX) transcription factor family. Forkhead box transcription factors play important roles in the regulation of tissue- and cell type-specific gene transcription during both development and adulthood. Forkhead box P1 protein contains both DNA-binding- and protein-protein binding-domains. This gene may act as a tumor suppressor as it is lost in several tumor types and maps to a chromosomal region (3p14.1) reported to contain a tumor suppressor gene(s). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

FOXP1: Transcriptional repressor. It plays an important role in the specification and differentiation of lung epithelium. Can act with CTBP1 to synergistically repress transcription but CTPBP1 is not essential. Essential transcriptional regulator of B-cell development. Forms homodimers and heterodimers with FOXP2 and FOXP4. Dimerization is required for DNA-binding. Interacts with CTBP1. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: C2H2-type zinc finger protein; Cell cycle regulation; DNA-binding; Transcription factor

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3p13

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: androgen receptor binding; protein binding; protein self-association

Biological Process: endothelial cell activation; macrophage activation; monocyte activation; negative regulation of B cell apoptosis; negative regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; osteoclast differentiation; positive regulation of smooth muscle cell proliferation; regulation of inflammatory response; regulation of interleukin-1 beta secretion; regulation of monocyte differentiation; regulation of tumor necrosis factor production; response to lipopolysaccharide

Product Notes

The Human FOXP1 foxp1 (Catalog #AAA2088143) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2088143 ELISA Kit recognizes Human FOXP1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Forkhead Box Protein P1 (FOXP1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
