Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for FGF13 elisa kit
This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific to High Sensitive Fibroblast Growth Factor 13 (FGF13) has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled High Sensitive Fibroblast Growth Factor 13 (FGF13) and unlabeled High Sensitive Fibroblast Growth Factor 13 (FGF13) (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to High Sensitive Fibroblast Growth Factor 13 (FGF13). After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of High Sensitive Fibroblast Growth Factor 13 (FGF13) in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of High Sensitive Fibroblast Growth Factor 13 (FGF13) in the sample.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth, and invasion. This gene is located in a region on chromosome X, which is associated with Borjeson-Forssman-Lehmann syndrome (BFLS), making it a possible candidate gene for familial cases of the BFLS, and for other syndromal and nonspecific forms of X-linked mental retardation mapping to this region. Alternative splicing of this gene at the 5' end results in several transcript variants encoding different isoforms with different N-termini. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2008]

Uniprot Description

Microtubule-binding protein which directly binds tubulin and is involved in both polymerization and stabilization of microtubules. Through its action on microtubules, may participate to the refinement of axons by negatively regulating axonal and leading processes branching. Plays a crucial role in neuron polarization and migration in the cerebral cortex and the hippocampus.

Product Notes

The Human FGF13 fgf13 (Catalog #AAA2087072) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2087072 ELISA Kit recognizes Human FGF13. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Fibroblast Growth Factor 13 (FGF13), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
