Principle of the Assay||This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. anti-Human TRIM22 antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-Human TRIM22 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Human TRIM22 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration ofHuman TRIM22 can be calculated.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family. The TRIM motif includes three zinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2, and a coiled-coil region. This protein localizes to the cytoplasm and its expression is induced by interferon. The protein down-regulates transcription from the HIV-1 LTR promoter region, suggesting that function of this protein may be to mediate interferon's antiviral effects.
