Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for DIS3L elisa kit
Description: This Human DIS3-like exonuclease 1 (DIS3L) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate DIS3L in samples. An antibody specific for DIS3L has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any DIS3L present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for DIS3L is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of DIS3L bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: Dis3L is an RNase enzyme homologous to the yeast protein Rrp44, and can be part of the exosome complex in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells. DIS3L belongs to the ribonuclease II (RNB) family. Ribonuclease II (RNase II) is a major exoribonuclease that intervenes in all of these fundamental processes; it can act independently or as a component of the exosome, an essential RNA-degrading multiprotein complex. RNase II-like enzymes are found in all three kingdoms of life, but there are no structural data for any of the proteins of this family. RNase R is a close homolog of RNase II, but it can, unlike RNase II, degrade RNA with secondary structures without help of accessory factors.

NCBI Description

The cytoplasmic RNA exosome complex degrades unstable mRNAs and is involved in the regular turnover of other mRNAs. The protein encoded by this gene contains 3'-5' exoribonuclease activity and is a catalytic component of this complex. [provided by RefSeq, May 2016]

Uniprot Description

Function: Putative cytoplasm-specific catalytic component of the RNA exosome complex which has 3'->5' exoribonuclease activity and participates in a multitude of cellular RNA processing and degradation events. In the cytoplasm, the RNA exosome complex is involved in general mRNA turnover and specifically degrades inherently unstable mRNAs containing AU-rich elements (AREs) within their 3' untranslated regions, and in RNA surveillance pathways, preventing translation of aberrant mRNAs. It seems to be involved in degradation of histone mRNA. Ref.6 Ref.7

Cofactor: Magnesium. Ref.6 Ref.7

Subunit structure: Component of the RNA exosome complex. The catalytically inactive RNA exosome core (Exo-9) complex is believed to associate with catalytic subunits EXOSC10, and DIS3 or DIS3L in cytoplasmic- and nuclear-specific RNA exosome complex forms.

Subcellular location: Cytoplasm Ref.6 Ref.7.

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the RNR ribonuclease family.

Sequence caution: The sequence BAB85541.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation. Translation N-terminally shortened.

Product Notes

The Human DIS3L dis3l (Catalog #AAA9715711) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9715711 ELISA Kit recognizes Human DIS3L. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DIS3-Like Exonuclease 1 (DIS3L), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
