Human Deoxyribonuclease-2-alpha, DNASE2A ELISA Kit | DNASE2A elisa kit
Human Deoxyribonuclease-2-alpha, DNASE2A ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with human DPD antibody. DPD present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated human DPD Antibody is added and binds to DPD in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated DPDantibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of human DPD. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the DNase family. The protein, located in the lysosome, hydrolyzes DNA under acidic conditions and mediates the breakdown of DNA during erythropoiesis and apoptosis. Two codominant alleles have been characterized, DNASE2*L (low activity) and DNASE2*H (high activity), that differ at one nucleotide in the promoter region. The DNASE2*H allele is represented in this record. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
Hydrolyzes DNA under acidic conditions with a preference for double-stranded DNA. Plays a major role in the degradation of nuclear DNA in cellular apoptosis during development. Necessary for proper fetal development and for definitive erythropoiesis in fetal liver, where it degrades nuclear DNA expelled from erythroid precursor cells.MiscellaneousNot required for the generation of the characteristic DNA fragmentation observed in apoptotic cells, but for the degradation of DNA from dying cells.

Product Notes
The Human DNASE2A dnase2 (Catalog #AAA161148) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA161148 ELISA Kit recognizes Human DNASE2A. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Deoxyribonuclease-2-alpha, DNASE2A, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
