Related Product Information for DDT elisa kit
Principle of the assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to DDT. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for DDT and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain DDT, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of DDT. You can calculate the concentration of DDT in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

D-dopachrome tautomerase converts D-dopachrome into 5,6-dihydroxyindole. The DDT gene is related to the migration inhibitory factor (MIF) in terms of sequence, enzyme activity, and gene structure. DDT and MIF are closely linked on chromosome 22. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

DDT: Tautomerization of D-dopachrome with decarboxylation to give 5,6-dihydroxyindole (DHI). Belongs to the MIF family.

Protein type: EC 4.1.1.84; Lyase

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 22q11.23

Cellular Component: cytoplasm

Molecular Function: D-dopachrome decarboxylase activity; dopachrome isomerase activity

Biological Process: melanin biosynthetic process

Product Notes

The Human DDT ddt (Catalog #AAA2513866) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2513866 ELISA Kit recognizes Human DDT. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DDT, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
