Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for CXADR elisa kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Coxsackie Virus And Adenovirus Receptor (CXADR). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Coxsackie Virus And Adenovirus Receptor (CXADR). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Coxsackie Virus And Adenovirus Receptor (CXADR), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Coxsackie Virus And Adenovirus Receptor (CXADR) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a type I membrane receptor for group B coxsackieviruses and subgroup C adenoviruses. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Pseudogenes of this gene are found on chromosomes 15, 18, and 21. [provided by RefSeq, May 2011]

Uniprot Description

CXADR: a component of the epithelial apical junction complex that is essential for the tight junction integrity. Proposed to function as a homophilic cell adhesion molecule. Recruits MPDZ to intercellular contact sites. Probably involved in transepithelial migration of polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMN) through adhesive interactions with AMICA1 located in the plasma membrane of PMN.

Protein type: Receptor, misc.; Membrane protein, integral; Cell adhesion

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 21q21.1

Product Notes

The Human CXADR cxadr (Catalog #AAA2000196) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2000196 ELISA Kit recognizes Human CXADR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Coxsackie Virus And Adenovirus Receptor (CXADR), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
