Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of COMMD1. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between COMMD1 and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between COMMD1 and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.

Related Product Information for COMMD1 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This COMMD1 ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Human COMMD1. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or test applications!

Principle of the Assay: COMMD1 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing an anti-COMMD1 antibody and an COMMD1-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with COMMD1-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the COMMD1 concentration since COMMD1 from samples and COMMD1-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-COMMD1 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by COMMD1 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind COMMD1-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The COMMD1 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

COMMD1 is a regulator of copper homeostasis, sodium uptake, and NF-kappa-B (see MIM 164011) signaling (de Bie et al., 2005 [PubMed 16267171]).[supplied by OMIM, Sep 2009]

Uniprot Description

COMMD1: Promotes ubiquitination of NF-kappa-B subunit RELA and its subsequent proteasomal degradation. Down-regulates NF-kappa-B activity. Down-regulates SOD1 activity by interfering with its homodimerization. Plays a role in copper ion homeostasis. Can bind one copper ion per monomer. May function to facilitate biliary copper excretion within hepatocytes.

Protein type: Inhibitor

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2p15

Product Notes

The Human COMMD1 commd1 (Catalog #AAA7221169) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7221169 ELISA Kit recognizes Human COMMD1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "COMM domain containing protein 1 (COMMD1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
