Related Product Information for CALP elisa kit
Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Human CALP concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human CALP. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human CALP and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human CALP, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human CALP. You can calculate the concentration of Human CALP in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

Uniprot Description

KCNIP4: Regulatory subunit of Kv4/D (Shal)-type voltage-gated rapidly inactivating A-type potassium channels. Probably modulates channels density, inactivation kinetics and rate of recovery from inactivation in a calcium-dependent and isoform-specific manner. In vitro, modulates KCND2/Kv4.2 and KCND3/Kv4.3 currents. Belongs to the recoverin family. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 4p15.32

Cellular Component: voltage-gated potassium channel complex; cell soma; cytoplasm; dendrite; plasma membrane; cytosol

Molecular Function: potassium channel regulator activity; potassium channel activity; voltage-gated ion channel activity; calcium ion binding

Product Notes

The Human CALP kcnip4 (Catalog #AAA2516300) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2516300 ELISA Kit recognizes Human CALP. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CALP, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
