Reactivity
Human
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of CAMK4. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between CAMK4 and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between CAMK4 and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.

Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Assay Type
Quantitative Competitive
Sensitivity
0.1 ng/mL

Related Product Information for CAMK4 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This CAMK4 ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Human CAMK4. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or test applications!

Principle of the Assay: CAMK4 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing an anti-CAMK4 antibody and a CAMK4-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CAMK4-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CAMK4 concentration since CAMK4 from samples and CAMK4-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CAMK4 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CAMK4 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CAMK4-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CAMK4 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

The product of this gene belongs to the serine/threonine protein kinase family, and to the Ca(2+)/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase subfamily. This enzyme is a multifunctional serine/threonine protein kinase with limited tissue distribution, that has been implicated in transcriptional regulation in lymphocytes, neurons and male germ cells. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The Human CAMK4 camk4 (Catalog #AAA7230332) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7230332 ELISA Kit recognizes Human CAMK4. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Calcium/calmodulin dependent protein kinase type IV (CAMK4), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
