Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of CALCOCO2. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between CALCOCO2 and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between CALCOCO2 and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.

Intended Uses: This CALCOCO2 ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of HumanCALCOCO2. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or test applications!

Principle of the Assay: CALCOCO2 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-CALCOCO2 antibody and an CALCOCO2-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CALCOCO2-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CALCOCO2 concentration since CALCOCO2 from samples and CALCOCO2-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CALCOCO2 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CALCOCO2 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CALCOCO2-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CALCOCO2 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a coiled-coil domain-containing protein. The encoded protein functions as a receptor for ubiquitin-coated bacteria and plays an important role in innate immunity by mediating macroautophagy. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, May 2012]

Uniprot Description

CALCOCO2: May play a role in ruffle formation and actin cytoskeleton organization. Seems to negatively regulate constitutive secretion. Part of a complex consisting of CALCOCO2, TAX1BP1 and MYO6. Interacts with GEMIN4. Expressed in all tissues tested with highest expression in skeletal muscle and lowest in brain.

Product Notes

The Human CALCOCO2 calcoco2 (Catalog #AAA7220182) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7220182 ELISA Kit recognizes Human CALCOCO2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Calcium binding and coiled coil domain containing protein 2 (CALCOCO2), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
