Human
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Human C5a. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Human C5a and analogues was observed. Note: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross- reactivity detection between Human C5a and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist.

Related Product Information for C5a elisa kit
Description: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of C5a in human serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human C5a. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and bound by the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human C5a and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human C5a, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human C5a. You can calculate the concentration of Human C5a in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

Uniprot Description

C5aR: a family 1 G-protein coupled receptor that stimulates the GTPase activity of Gi2. Receptor for the chemotactic and inflammatory complement factor C5a. Stimulates chemotaxis, granule enzyme release and superoxide anion production. Phosphorylated in response to C5a or after stimulation of cells with phorbol esters. Expressed on monocytes, granulocytes, dendritic cells, astrocytes and microglia.

Product Notes

The Human C5a c5ar1 (Catalog #AAA2500717) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2500717 ELISA Kit recognizes Human C5a. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "C5a, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
