Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for BST1 elisa kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Bone Marrow Stromal Cell Antigen 1 (BST1). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Bone Marrow Stromal Cell Antigen 1 (BST1). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Bone Marrow Stromal Cell Antigen 1 (BST1), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Bone Marrow Stromal Cell Antigen 1 (BST1) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

Bone marrow stromal cell antigen-1 is a stromal cell line-derived glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored molecule that facilitates pre-B-cell growth. The deduced amino acid sequence exhibits 33% similarity with CD38. BST1 expression is enhanced in bone marrow stromal cell lines derived from patients with rheumatoid arthritis. The polyclonal B-cell abnormalities in rheumatoid arthritis may be, at least in part, attributed to BST1 overexpression in the stromal cell population. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

BST1: Synthesizes cyclic ADP-ribose, a second messenger that elicits calcium release from intracellular stores. May be involved in pre-B-cell growth. Belongs to the ADP-ribosyl cyclase family.

Product Notes

The Human BST1 bst1 (Catalog #AAA2021599) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2021599 ELISA Kit recognizes Human BST1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Bone Marrow Stromal Cell Antigen 1 (BST1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
