Related Product Information for ARG1 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Human ARG1 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human ARG1. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human ARG1 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human ARG1, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human ARG1. You can calculate the concentration of Human ARG1 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the Abelson family of nonreceptor tyrosine protein kinases. The protein is highly similar to the c-abl oncogene 1 protein, including the tyrosine kinase, SH2 and SH3 domains, and it plays a role in cytoskeletal rearrangements through its C-terminal F-actin- and microtubule-binding sequences. This gene is expressed in both normal and tumor cells, and is involved in translocation with the ets variant 6 gene in leukemia. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different protein isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009]

Uniprot Description

Arg: a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase of the Abl family. Expressed at the highest levels in mature B cells. Promotes catalase degradation in the oxidative stress response. Localizes to dynamic actin structures and may regulate cytoskeleton remodeling during cell differentiation, cell division and cell adhesion. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Human ARG1 abl2 (Catalog #AAA2509985) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2509985 ELISA Kit recognizes Human ARG1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ARG1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
