Human Apolipoprotein L domain containing protein 1 (APOLD1) ELISA Kit | APOLD1 elisa kit
Human Apolipoprotein L domain containing protein 1 (APOLD1) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: APOLD1 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing an anti-APOLD1 antibody and an APOLD1-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with APOLD1-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the APOLD1 concentration since APOLD1 from samples and APOLD1-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-APOLD1 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by APOLD1 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind APOLD1-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The APOLD1 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
APOLD1 is an endothelial cell early response protein that may play a role in regulation of endothelial cell signaling and vascular function (Regard et al., 2004 [PubMed 15102925]).[supplied by OMIM, Dec 2008]
Uniprot Description
APOLD1: May be involved in angiogenesis. May play a role in activity-dependent changes of brain vasculature. May affect blood- brain permeability. Belongs to the apolipoprotein L family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The Human APOLD1 apold1 (Catalog #AAA7232808) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7232808 ELISA Kit recognizes Human APOLD1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Apolipoprotein L domain containing protein 1 (APOLD1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
