Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Competitive-ELISA as the method. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with 14-3-3 protein eta. During the reaction, 14-3-3 protein eta in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of 14-3-3 protein eta on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Antibody specific to 14-3-3 protein eta. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate, and HRPStreptavidin( SABC) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of 14-3-3 protein eta in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene product belongs to the 14-3-3 family of proteins which mediate signal transduction by binding to phosphoserine-containing proteins. This highly conserved protein family is found in both plants and mammals, and this protein is 99% identical to the mouse, rat and bovine orthologs. This gene contains a 7 bp repeat sequence in its 5' UTR, and changes in the number of this repeat have been associated with early-onset schizophrenia and psychotic bipolar disorder. Product Notes

The Human YWHAH ywhah (Catalog #AAA766089) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA766089 ELISA Kit recognizes Human YWHAH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "14-3-3 protein eta (YWHAH), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
