Related Product Information for PDIA2 clia kit
Intended Uses: This CLIA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of PDIA2 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This kit uses Sandwich-CLIA as the method. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to PDIA2. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for PDIA2 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain PDIA2, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured spectrophotometrically by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of PDIA2. You can calculate the concentration of PDIA2 in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

Protein disulfide isomerases (EC 5.3.4.1), such as PDIP, are endoplasmic reticulum (ER) resident proteins that catalyze protein folding and thiol-disulfide interchange reactions (Desilva et al., 1996 [PubMed 8561901]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]

Uniprot Description

PDIA2: Acts as an intracellular estrogen-binding protein. May be involved in modulating cellular levels and biological functions of estrogens in the pancreas. May act as a chaperone that inhibits aggregation of misfolded proteins. Belongs to the protein disulfide isomerase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Endoplasmic reticulum; EC 5.3.4.1; Isomerase

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16p13.3

Cellular Component: endoplasmic reticulum; endoplasmic reticulum lumen

Molecular Function: disulfide oxidoreductase activity; protein binding; protein disulfide isomerase activity; steroid binding; peptidyl-proline 4-dioxygenase activity

Biological Process: protein folding; cell redox homeostasis; peptidyl-proline hydroxylation; protein retention in ER

Product Notes

The Human PDIA2 pdia2 (Catalog #AAA2531926) is a CLIA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2531926 CLIA Kit recognizes Human PDIA2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PDIA2 (Protein Disulfide Isomerase A2), CLIA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
